Securitas Australasia Regrades Control Room To Meet Revised Standard.
Securitas Australasia Regrades Control Room – Securitas Australasia has regraded its control room to meet the revised Australian Standard AS2201 Part 2:2022.
“We are proud to announce our regrading to the revised standard AS2201 Part 2:2022 and customers should note our SOC is also ISO27001 complaint,” said Securitas Australasia’s vice president electronic security, Joshua Simmons.
ASIAL’s monitoring station grading scheme, which conforms with the new AS2201 Part 2:2022, seeks to provide customers with the reassurance that the standards applied at a monitoring centre are independently audited on a regular basis.
According to ASIAL, the types of items covered in the standard include construction of the centre, together with its physical and fire protection, access control, ventilation systems, power supply and redundancy; wireless, internet and telecommunications connectivity; management and reporting system redundancy, risk management processes, IT policy management and more.
“Huge shout out to ‘Team SOC’ on achieving our re-grading to the more demanding new standard,” said Securitas’ operations centre manager, John Aslanis. “Without their hard work and support this would never have been possible.”
The new AS2201.2:2022 grading standard came into effect on March 25, with compliance required for all new or renewal grading applications. You can learn more about Securitas Australasia here or read more SEN news here.
