Sturdie Wins Awesome DAS Ducati Prize – Sturdie Trade Services has won a mouthwatering Ducati Panigale V2S motorcycle in a July 7 draw that capped off a 6-month campaign generating 18,000 entries and featuring DAS’ hugely popular travelling Ducati simulator at SecTech Roadshow 2025.
While DAS customers earned entries through business engagement, for Sturdie Trade Services, the reward still came as a huge surprise.
“The Sturdie team were in shock, disbelief and excitement all at once,” said Chris Luyten, national project manager at Sturdie. “At first we thought someone was pulling our leg, but once the confirmation came through the excitement across the entire group was huge.”
According to Luyten, Sturdie has long been a participant in the DAS Rewards program, using it to acknowledge high-performing team members.
“The program is very easy to be part of,” said Luyten. “The rewards are shared across our team and used to recognise exceptional performance and team players. They’ve been great for staff morale and show appreciation for the amazing work our people do every day.”
According to Cary Coleman, DAS state sales manager SA & NT, the Ducati giveaway reflects DAS’ continued investment in relationship-building with trade customers.
“It’s fantastic to continue delivering high-quality incentives like the DAS Ducati to our partners,” Coleman said. “We’re especially proud to see a South Australian business take out the win among thousands of entries. A big congratulations to the entire Sturdie Trade Services team.”
While winning the Panigale wasn’t something Sturdie expected, Luyten said the value of its partnership with DAS goes beyond the prize.
“We rely on DAS for value, service, and follow-up,” he said. “The program is just one of the ways they support us — and while the major prize was never something we expected, we’re incredibly grateful for the support and the new ride!”
Luyten did not say who gets to ride the Ducati through the Adelaide Hills on weekends but we suspect the competition is huge.
