Sunwater Seeks Security For Paradise Dam In Queensland.

Sunwater Seeks Security For Paradise Dam – Sunwater’s Paradise Alliance has opened an extended expression of interest process for security services supporting the Paradise Dam Improvement Project.

The tender will run until June 30, 2026, and forms part of the procurement program for early works and main dam construction scheduled to begin in 2026. The Alliance includes Sunwater as owner, GHD as design partner and CPB Contractors/Georgiou Group as construction partner.

The security scope covers protection of critical project assets during construction, including surveillance, patrols, access control and incident response across a large and remote infrastructure site. Paradise Alliance is seeking capable local, regional and national suppliers with demonstrated experience in construction-site security and compliance.

The EOI outlines a wide security brief. Required capabilities include deployment of surveillance systems and access control measures to secure dam infrastructure, regular patrols to identify risks, structured response plans for vandalism, theft or safety hazards, and reporting to project management and authorities. Providers must deliver training for project personnel, maintain security equipment such as cameras and alarms, and participate in emergency planning aligned to site-specific risks. Compliance with relevant laws, standards, and project requirements is mandatory.

The security work package sits alongside a broader pipeline of construction-related procurement, including civil works, geotechnical investigation, plant and equipment, traffic management and public utility services. All suppliers must meet Paradise Alliance prequalification requirements and register through the Felix procurement platform.

The Paradise Dam Improvement Project will rely on staged procurement through 2026 as early works commence, with security forming a core component of site protection throughout build phases.
