Tamworth Regional Council Seeks Managed CCTV

♦ Tamworth Regional Council seeks managed CCTV – Tamworth Regional Council has gone to market with an interesting and complex tender titled ‘CCTV Managed Services’.

The tender includes an IT and telecoms component and a security services and equipment component. TRC requires computer hardware, infrastructure, networking products, and radio and wireless communication products.

Also required at architecture and design, data cabling services, data storage services, maintenance agreements, managed services, networks, outsourced services, security management, software support and maintenance, and computer software. Security services and equipment include security and CCTV systems – including hardware and software – and maintenance.

Tamworth already has a number of CCTV cameras, including fixed locations and public safety trailers that are moved around to cover hotspots. The cameras include Axis Q3819-PVE panoramic, as well as bullet and PTZ cameras, some of which are capable of snaring a license plate at a distance of 1000 metres. The cameras are used to support local police operations and there’s a strict policy around who can access video footage.

Tamworth Regional Council is a local government area in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The area under administration is located adjacent to the New England Highway and the Main North railway line. It was established in March 2004 through the amalgamation of the former City of Tamworth with surrounding shires of Barraba, Manilla, Nundle and Parry.

This tender closes on August 31, 2022 – you can find out more here.
