Tecsec’s appointment follows a mandatory briefing and competitive tender process, with the city selecting a single contractor to undertake the full package of works. The work includes system upgrades, replacements, and new installations, along with software implementation and the provision of software licences.
Tecsec will deliver a full access control solution that improves site security, brings systems into compliance, and modernises operational functionality. Given the technical nature of the deployment, tenderers were required to demonstrate certification with Integriti access control systems, including the provision of documentation for at least 2 Integriti Advanced Certified Technicians. Shortlisted respondents were also subject to a basic cyber risk review via UpGuard.

The scope of the original tender covers the city’s administration and civic building, operations centre, animal care facility, and meals on wheels premises. Works are expected to begin by late January 2026 and finish by early May 2026, though the city may accelerate this timeline subject to approvals. The project requires transfer of software licence ownership to the principal upon completion and mandates that the contractor provide 1 year of licensing.
