University Of Adelaide Seeks Security – University of Adelaide is seeking a professional provider for the delivery of 24/7 security guarding and patrol services across its city, metropolitan and regional campuses.
Services are to be delivered continuously throughout the year, supporting the University Security Team during a period of significant institutional change.
In July 2023, the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia announced plans to merge and form a new entity, Adelaide University. The new university was formally established under the Adelaide University Act 2023 and is expected to become fully operational by January 2026. Until then, both institutions will continue to operate independently in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements, while contributing to the design and construction of the new organisation.
The scale and complexity of the transition to Adelaide University is significant, with implications across all facets of university operations, including physical (electronic?) security. The successful security provider will be expected to manage routine guarding and patrol duties as well as support the university through this transitional period.
