According to the department, the procurement will enhance its ability to deliver high quality justice, legal, and corrective services to the Western Australian community, parliament, and judiciary.

With more than 8000 staff state-wide, the department’s move to centralise body worn video and digital evidence management suggests a strategic shift towards greater accountability, transparency, and efficiency in incident response and evidence handling.
The requirement encompasses body worn camera hardware and a digital platform capable of storing and managing large volumes of video and possibly other evidentiary material generated by field personnel locally and in secure cloud.
