Wilson Security Acquires Western Advance – Wilson Security has acquired the East Coast Division of Western Advance, bolstering its existing electronic security portfolio.

According to Nick Schijf, chief operating officer for Wilson Security, the acquisition marks a significant milestone in the Wilson Security growth strategy, supporting long-term support of evolving customer needs.

The acquisition comes a matter of months after Wilson Security’s appointment of new general manager, Electronic Security Division, Norman Grieve, who will lead the company’s growing electronic security portfolio.

All team members of Western Advance’s East Coast business will bolster the Wilson Security’s Electronic Security Division, which Schijf said would provide greater capability for the Eastern states, particularly in the key market of NSW.

“This acquisition is strategically important to delivering our long-term growth agenda and aligns with customer needs,” Schijf said. “The Western Advance East Coast team possesses significant expertise and will now benefit from Wilson Security’s national capabilities, infrastructure, and customer partnerships.

“We are delighted to welcome the team onboard while continuing our focus of delivering outcomes that add value to our customers beyond typical security operations.”

According to Norman Grieve, Wilson Security’s ethos of providing solutions that combine human capital, technology and data, makes the acquisition highly complementary.

“With enhanced capability, advanced technologies and combined infrastructure, the team is now primed to support customers across a wide range of sectors nationally,” Grieve said.

“These include justice, Federal Government and healthcare, where Western Advance supply advanced scanning and access technologies, as well as in support of critical infrastructure, corporate real estate and higher education.

“Existing Wilson Security and Western Advance’s East Coast Commercial Security Division customers can expect continuity of service whilst benefiting from the acquisition over the medium-long term.”
