Wilson Security Deploys Genetec Security Center – Wilson Security has deployed Genetec Security Center across Jemena’s 50-site national critical infrastructure network to replace ageing video and access systems and consolidate site monitoring into a single platform. The upgrade supports compliance requirements across gas and electricity assets and reduces the operational cost of sending staff to remote locations.

Wilson Security manages integration delivery for the program.

“Wilson Security and Jemena have cultivated a long-standing, award-winning security collaboration that prioritises both innovation and compliance across these key critical infrastructure sites,” says Carla Scuderi, key account manager at Wilson Security.

“By working closely, we’ve built a deep understanding of Jemena’s unique security needs, enabling us to support their goals with tailored, forward-looking technology solutions.”

Security Center provides unified management of video surveillance, access control, ALPR, intercoms and communications. Jemena’s design, delivered by the Wilson Security team, is deployed across a federated topology coalescing remote facilities into a centralised view. It’s a complex application, with the deployment covering 50 sites and including 300 cameras, 40 SIP intercom units, ALPR devices, thermal perimeter detection and biometric authentication for access control.

Using the platform, operators monitor cameras, manage intercom calls and oversee Genetec AutoVu ALPR alerts from one interface. Mobile credential automation supports streamlined onboarding and offboarding, while virtual patrols reduce travel requirements and enable higher-frequency monitoring across remote assets.

“Implementing the Genetec platform has been a significant step forward in strengthening our asset protection and operational resilience,” says Fiona Dunk, general manager, resilience and compliance at Jemena.

“Its integrated capabilities have enhanced situational awareness, improved response times, and enabled smarter decision-making through centralised monitoring and analytics. This upgrade not only supports a safer working environment but also delivers long-term value through scalability, efficiency, and a future-ready security infrastructure for the increasingly complex environment we are working in now and in the future.”

According to Genetec, Security Center supports Jemena’s requirement for consolidated security operations across depots, gas facilities, warehouses and office sites.

According to William Glasson, national sales manager at Genetec, the Genetec team is proud to partner with Jemena.

“Genetec is proud to play its part in securing Australia’s critical infrastructure assets and adopting best practice technologies to support a litany of stringent regulatory standards, designed to fortify resilience, and unyielding reliability,” Glasson said.
