3xLOGIC has released a gunshot detection solution, which features a dry contact that allows it to be easily integrated into existing alarm systems.

The device used simple concussive force recognition sensors to detect gunshots. When a gun is fired, the bullet creates a shockwave as it exits the muzzle and travels through the air.

With a detection radius of around 25 metres and 360-degrees coverage, 3xLOGIC’s gunshot sensor minimizes the number of gunshot detection sensors required and there’s no need for software, servers, or a relay control board. There are ceiling and wall-mount options to provide installation flexibility.

Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the indoor-rated solution features a die-cast aluminium casing with an operating temperature range of -35C to around 40C. There’s also offers test mode via contactless switch and trouble relay for AC power loss.
