Mike Metcalfe Rejoins Milestone Systems – Milestone Systems has announced the return of Mike Metcalfe, who has rejoined the company as key account manager South Pacific.
Based in Australia, Metcalfe will take responsibility for the New Zealand market while also developing business across key industry sectors in Australia. In the role, Metcalfe will focus on enterprise and public sector opportunities across Australia while supporting partner engagement and market development throughout New Zealand. His remit includes sectors such as critical infrastructure, government, law enforcement, transport networks and large commercial environments.
Metcalfe returns to Milestone Systems with experience gained in senior roles at Everbridge and Irisity, where he worked with technologies including critical event management platforms, AI-driven analytics and enterprise software systems.

Milestone Systems develops open platform video management software used to manage, record and analyse video from network cameras and other devices. The company’s technology supports video management, analytics and cloud video services across a wide range of applications, including security monitoring, operational management and infrastructure oversight.
Milestone is also involved in Project Hafnia, an initiative focused on enabling the responsible use of video data to support the development of AI and analytics. The project aims to allow organisations and technology partners to collaborate on the training and validation of AI models using anonymised and compliant video data.
“My time working across adjacent technologies has given me a strong appreciation for how video intelligence fits into a much wider operational ecosystem,” Metcalfe said.
