Zezamii Delivers Verkada Cloud Security Integration at 145 Ann Street Brisbane.

Zezamii Delivers Verkada Cloud Security Integration – Zezamii has completed an integrated electronic security deployment at 145 Ann Street in Brisbane, bringing together video surveillance, intercom, access control and visitor management on a single Verkada platform.

The project centres on a cloud-managed architecture, with Verkada cameras deployed across key areas of the site to provide continuous video coverage and system-wide visibility. Verkada’s camera range incorporates onboard processing, supporting features such as motion-based search, people and vehicle analytics, and edge-based video storage with cloud access for remote monitoring and investigation.

Access control at the site is managed via Verkada’s cloud-based system, which enables centralised administration of users, credentials and door permissions. The platform supports real-time monitoring of door events, remote unlocking and audit trails, while integrating directly with video feeds to provide visual verification of access events. Verkada’s alarm capability, where deployed, provides sensor-based intrusion detection with video-linked alerts, allowing operators to review events in context and respond accordingly.

Verkada AC62 Door Controller forms the heart of the system. It’s an enterprise-scale access control panel designed to manage up to 16 doors from a single enclosure. Each door port supports a full set of field connections, including 1 reader interface per door using RS-485 (Verkada protocol) or Wiegand, 2 request-to-exit inputs and 1 door position input, along with a dedicated relay output supporting 12V or 24V wet operation or dry contact switching. The controller also provides auxiliary inputs and outputs for integration with external devices, effectively extending the number of monitored zones beyond doors to include sensors, alarms or auxiliary controls.

Networking is via Ethernet, with the controller connecting directly to Verkada’s cloud platform for management, configuration and monitoring. All control is handled through the Verkada Command interface, with no local server required, and updates to users, credentials and permissions are pushed automatically across connected controllers. The AC62 includes onboard processing and storage, allowing it to continue making access decisions during network or power interruptions, and supports integration with fire alarm interfaces and auxiliary systems.

This Zezamii solution also includes Verkada intercom, supporting audio and video-based entry management. The intercom system enables remote call handling, mobile app integration and directory-based access, allowing staff to manage visitor entry from anywhere with network connectivity. This is complemented by a guest visitor management system, providing digital sign-in, visitor tracking and credential issuance to support controlled movement through the building.

According to Zezamii, the deployment was designed to unify multiple security functions within a single interface, reducing system fragmentation and simplifying day-to-day operations.

“For this site, Zezamii delivered a comprehensive Verkada solution designed to bring together multiple layers of security, visibility, and operational control into one streamlined platform,” said Zezamii security commercial manager Chris Bleach.

Bleach said the outcome was a connected system supporting both operational efficiency and security oversight.

“What Zezamii offered through this deployment was more than just product installation. We worked to deliver a connected security ecosystem that improves how the site is monitored, accessed, and managed,” Bleach said. “By leveraging the Verkada platform, the result is a system that gives the site stronger visibility, simplified management, improved control over entry points, and a more modern approach to building security and visitor flow.”

Bleach said the integration of surveillance, intercom, visitor management and access control into a single platform supports a more consistent user experience for operators and occupants, while maintaining visibility across all system components.

Fortitude Valley-based Zezamii also provides secure integrated lockers built on the Australian-hosted Zezamii Lockers Platform. The Zezamii secure locker system employs a keyless, cloud-based locker platform that allows users to access lockers via PIN or mobile phone, while administrators retain full visibility and control through a centralised dashboard.
