Muswellbrook Solar Farm And Battery CCTV Installation And Maintenance Tender Released.
Muswellbrook Solar Farm And Battery CCTV – Bouygues Construction Australia and Equans Solar & Storage Australia have released a tender for the installation and integration of CCTV systems at the Muswellbrook Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System project in the lower Hunter Valley in New South Wales.
The tender seeks a contractor to deliver and maintain a surveillance solution supporting both security monitoring and operational oversight across the site. The scope includes supply and installation of cameras, provision of recording infrastructure and integration with access control systems, along with delivery of monitoring capability.
The system is expected to provide coverage across the development, supporting asset protection and site security in a large-scale, distributed environment. The tender release does not go into this but there will be access control and intrusion detection, so integration may be required.
The Muswellbrook Solar Farm and BESS is a major renewable energy project located in the Upper Hunter region, developed by OX2 in partnership with Idemitsu Australia. The project combines a 135MWac solar farm with a 100MW battery energy storage system on the site of a rehabilitated former coal mine.
Covering approximately 482 hectares and incorporating around 300,000 photovoltaic modules, the development is expected to generate approximately 347GWh of electricity annually, supplying the equivalent of around 52,000 homes. Construction commenced in 2026, with commissioning targeted for 2028.
Bouygues Construction Australia and Equans Solar & Storage Australia are acting as EPC contractors on the project, with responsibility for delivery of core infrastructure, including security systems.
This Muswellbrook Solar Farm And Battery CCTV tender closes on August 15 – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
