In Line Electronics Integriti Expansion Across Live Melbourne Site.
In Line Electronics Integriti Expansion – In Line Electronics has completed a staged expansion of electronic access control across a large operational site in Melbourne, progressively extending controlled access across more than 20 doors without interrupting day-to-day operations.
Delivered across multiple scheduled visits, the project saw access control extended into warehousing, production, amenities and other restricted operational areas, replacing ageing or unmonitored door hardware with a centrally managed Inner Range Integriti platform.
“The nature of the site dictated a measured approach,” said In Line Electronics operations manager, Dylan Barrat. “Rather than a single large-scale changeover, the upgrade was broken into discrete stages, allowing the client to prioritise areas as required while maintaining full operational continuity.”
Some stages addressed multiple doors within a defined zone, while others focused on infrastructure upgrades, including cabling and equipment relocation.
The installation is based on Inner Range Integriti access control hardware, providing centralised credential and permission management across the site. HID Signo smart readers have been deployed at doors throughout the facility, supported by ES2000 monitored electric strikes to deliver secure and monitored locking.

Door status and system integrity are reinforced through monitored door reed switches and local alarm or strobe indication at selected locations, providing visibility of door conditions and supporting alarm response where required.
A significant component of the project involved infrastructure. Much of the existing building had no suitable access control cabling, requiring new cable routes to be designed and installed around the operational environment.
This included the use of galvanised steel conduit in external areas to provide mechanical protection, along with new ceiling and door access points to allow clean cable installation with minimal disruption.
According to Barrat, working within a live manufacturing environment required careful coordination.
“Each stage was planned around the client’s operational requirements to ensure staff could continue moving safely through key areas while readers, locking hardware and control equipment were installed or upgraded,” Barrat said.
“One stage included the relocation of existing access control hardware from an at-capacity server rack into an adjacent utility cupboard. This work improved long-term serviceability and was completed within a tightly controlled window to minimise disruption to gatehouse and boom gate access.”

Programming and commissioning were undertaken progressively, with each stage integrated into the broader system as works were completed. This ensured continuity of protection while allowing the platform to expand in a controlled manner.
The resulting system provides centralised management of credentials and access permissions across reception, warehouse, laboratory, administration, server room and production areas from a single interface.
“Management now has improved control over user access, door status and system activity, with the flexibility to extend the platform further as site requirements evolve,” Barrat explained.
“The staged rollout has also strengthened physical security across key operational zones, while the upgraded infrastructure provides a foundation for future doors and additional integration.”
