“Electronic security companies are looking for new blood – they want to move away from the merry-go-round that sees staff moving from one company to the next, then moving on after being poached by a competitor,” she says. “The companies need new ideas and they need IT staff.”
According to Kerim, who has long experience managing family access control and electronics business EDS, the way things are in the industry stunts growth.
“Companies need innovative people and I believe a cross-fertilisation from the IT industry will benefit both sides,” she says.
“There is a call to drive change and I believe Calibrate is the right company to supply innovative security companies with the quality technical staff they so badly need.”
