GOSFORD City Council has gone to tender for supply, install and maintainance of security related infrastructure, including fixed and mobile CCTV systems and lighting within the Woy Woy Peninsula area.
It’s part of a $A680,000 project designed to reinvigorate local shopping strips and precincts on the Central Coast North of Sydeny that have been compromised by anti-social and unlawful behaviour. Of the funds, $200,000 will be spent on closed circuit television cameras for the Woy Woy Peninsula, which includes Woy Woy, Umina and Ettalong Beach. The tender closes November 3.
Of the remaining funds, Gosford CBD is receiving $A240,000 to upgrade CCTV in the CBD, while another $60,000 will be used for closed circuit television cameras for Kariong Underpass and skate park; $60,000 for closed circuit television cameras for Mitchell/Langford Dr Shops; $60,000 for closed circuit television cameras for Arunta St Shops; and $60,000 for closed circuit television cameras for Kincumber Underpass.♦
