RISCO Smart Card Reader
♦ RISCO smart card reader – RISCO’s soon to be released smart card reader features high security technology and communication protocols and is designed to meet the highest industry standards for the physical access control market.
Designed to work with RISCO’s new LightSYS+ hybrid alarm and access control panel, the reader utilises RISCO’s proprietary RS485 BUS connection for a secure communication path with the panel.
The reader features a black cover and a rugged polycarbonate enclosure filled with molten epoxy to provide a sturdy, weather-resistant and vandal-resistant product for indoor and outdoor installations. Designed for surface mounting with no change in read range performance, RISCO’s reader offers up to 2.25cm read ranges for cards and up to 1.2cm read ranges for tags.
Input voltage is 5V to 28VDC, current consumption averages 50mA, user indications are via bi-colour LED and beeper, while operating temperature range is -30 to 65C. The unit has a dimensions of 60 x 80 x 20mm.
