SA Police Outsourcing Security – South Australia Police Force Security Services Branch has gone to tender seeking to outsource security services.
Police Security Services Branch (PSSB) is a business unit of the South Australia Police. Through the deployment of Police Security Officers, PSSB provides a range of security services to the public sector.
The primary functions of PSSB are the provision of:
- Protective security services to designated South Australian government sites and assets
- Static Security services at South Australian Government buildings
- Protective Security Patrols for South Australian Government assets
- A whole-of-government alarm and CCTV monitoring service.
PSSB supplements its SA Police security officer staffing arrangements by sub-contracting security services for unscheduled and ad-hoc security requirements, which also include some longer-term assignments.
