Advanced Security Group Wins 2024 Integriti Project – Advanced Security Group has taken out the 2024 Inner Range Integriti Project of the Year Award, with Wesco Anixter NZ recognising the company’s major deployment for Foodstuffs South Island at the new Pak N Save Papanui site in Christchurch.
Officially opened in March 2024, the Papanui site is the largest Pak N Save in the South Island, with a footprint of 6260 square metres. In addition to functioning as a high-capacity retail store, the facility incorporates emergency infrastructure including water bore access, backup generators, solar power support, and fuel and food provisioning capabilities.
These systems all required full integration into Inner Range’s enterprise-grade Integriti platform and the installation was notable not only for its size and complexity but for its role in supporting New Zealand’s first grocery-based emergency management centre (EMC).
According to Wesco Anixter NZ, the project pushed the boundaries of traditional security integration. The EMC requirements were only one component of a broader integration strategy that extended across key operational systems. These included biometric authentication for staff access and timekeeping, integration with plant controls including chillers and freezers, and full video integration with Milestone Systems video management software and Axis Communications IP surveillance cameras.

Vehicle access and monitoring also formed a significant part of the deployment. Entry gates were automated and monitored via the combined input of the Milestone VMS, Axis camera streams, and Integriti’s access control interface. The site also incorporated licence plate recognition for credentialed access and situational awareness. Multi-site visibility was also achieved, with remote reporting and management enabling centralised oversight of systems.
Advanced Security Group noted the flexibility of the Inner Range Integriti platform as critical to the success of the project.
“As is often the case, as the build progressed a number of changes occurred, and we were able to utilise Integriti’s dynamic level of flexibility to meet these new requirements,” Advanced Security Group said in its submission.
Wesco Anixter NZ said the category was highly competitive, with strong entries across diverse verticals, however, the Pak N Save Papanui project stood out for the breadth and depth of integration, the inclusion of emergency management infrastructure, and the overall execution by Advanced Security Group.
