Ajax Releases 3 New AI IP Cameras – Ajax has expanded its video surveillance portfolio with the release of 3 new AI-powered IP cameras designed to enhance security coverage in low-light environments using hybrid illumination.

The new models — BulletCam HL, TurretCam HL, and DomeCam Mini HL — combine infrared and white light LEDs to deliver colour imaging at night, while offering built-in deterrence via visible lighting when motion is detected.

The BulletCam HL is available in both 5MP and 8MP variants, with a choice of 2.8mm or 4mm fixed lenses. It features a viewing angle up to 110 degrees, True WDR for image optimisation in high-contrast scenes, and an integrated microphone for ambient audio capture.

The hybrid illumination system offers up to 50 metres of night vision using either IR or white light, with adjustable modes allowing light activation on motion, constant illumination, or full deactivation. The camera is IP65 and IK08-rated for use in demanding outdoor environments and includes local microSD recording, ONVIF and RTSP support, and PoE or 12V DC power options.

The TurretCam HL shares the same specifications as the BulletCam HL, including resolution, lens choice, AI-based object recognition, and hybrid illumination up to 50 metres. Its turret-style design offers flexible positioning while maintaining a compact footprint, suitable for wall or ceiling mounting. Like all models in the HL series, the TurretCam HL supports the Ajax JetSparrow streaming protocol, providing encrypted, peer-to-peer video transmission with minimal latency.

The DomeCam Mini HL is more compact, with a reduced illumination range of 15 metres, making it suited for internal deployments or smaller outdoor zones. It offers the same hybrid lighting, lens, and sensor configurations, with True WDR, audio recording capability, AI object recognition, and encrypted video transmission. Ajax says that despite its reduced range, the DomeCam Mini HL retains full compatibility with Ajax’s mobile and desktop apps, allowing remote access, system configuration, and real-time device health monitoring.

All models are designed for tight integration with Ajax detectors and hubs, allowing automation sequences based on motion detection or system events. Cameras can trigger lighting, sirens, or begin recording based on specific criteria. Event timelines are synchronised with recorded footage, improving post-event navigation. Devices can operate standalone or with Ajax NVR and support secure local storage via microSD up to 256 GB.

Privacy features include authentication with mTLS certificates, strict permission control for system access, privacy zones to exclude areas from video, and optional audio recording. Cameras are NDAA-compliant, with data stored in the EU under GDPR-aligned policies.
