Allsafe Security Group Delivers Vehicle And Vistor Entry Solution That Balances Security And Automation Requirements.

Allsafe Security Group Delivers Vehicle And Vistor Entry – Allsafe Security Group has completed an access control integration that delivers a layered vehicle and visitor entry solution designed to balance automation, verification and resilience for its customer.

The project was led by technical manager Pravash Chandra, who said the brief was to create a system that was reliable, simple to manage and tolerant of real-world operational challenges.

“At this site we wanted automation first, but with clear fallbacks that staff could rely on if conditions changed,” Chandra said. “The result is a clean, cost-effective solution that gives the client confidence without adding operational complexity.”

The installation combines licence plate recognition for primary vehicle access, IP video intercoms for visitor verification, and Bluetooth credentials as a fail-safe. Vehicle registrations are centrally administered inside the access control platform, using free middleware to avoid additional licensing or infrastructure overhead.

Access logic prioritises automated entry via LPR, with visitors handled through the intercom, and Bluetooth credentials available if either method is unavailable. To suit daily operations, the vehicle gate is time-scheduled to align with school pickup periods, smoothing traffic flow while maintaining controlled access.

The system uses Hikvision LPR and SIP intercom hardware integrated with ICT Protege GX access control, including Protege TSL Bluetooth readers, providing a unified platform for vehicle, visitor and credential-based access.

Auckland-based Allsafe Security Group offers a range of services covering locksmithing, access control, alarms, CCTV and gate solutions.
