AMS DLLH-54 Operates Dual Locks

AMS DLLH-54 Operates Dual Locks From Single Lever On Narrow Door Jambs.

AMS DLLH-54 Operates Dual Locks – AMS Australia’s DLLH-54 Series dual lock lever handle is a narrow-style door hardware solution designed to operate 2 locks from a single lever action.

Developed in Australia, the DLLH-54 combines a latch and swing bolt arrangement and according to AMS, it’s the first lever lock and swing bolt combination designed to provide this functionality on narrow-style frames.

The system addresses an operational issue with dual-lock doors, which can otherwise require a 2-handed action to release both locks. With the DLLH-54, a single downward movement of the lever releases both locks simultaneously.

The DLLH-54 is designed for use with Lockwood locks and incorporates a heavy-duty lever return spring, adjustable external escutcheon and concealed external fixings. The internal and external handles are supplied as a pair.

AMS has also developed the DLLH-54 T version, which incorporates an internal turn snib. This allows the upper deadbolt to be activated from inside the door using the snib without affecting normal operation of the lever. A single downward movement of the handle continues to release both locks simultaneously.

The DLLH-54 combines a latch and a swing bolt behind a single lever, so a door that would otherwise need a two-handed release opens on one downward action. A DLLH-54 T version adds an internal turn snib for the upper deadbolt.

Specifications as published by AMS Australia. AMS states the DLLH-54 is the first lever lock and swing bolt combination to offer this function on narrow-style frames; SEN has not independently verified that claim.

The system is intended for applications requiring dual locking and controlled single-action egress, including secure rooms, commercial offices, high-security buildings, critical infrastructure, airports, universities and schools, hospitals and major utilities.

Standard DLLH-54 furniture measures 390mm long x 38mm wide x 12mm deep. Standard screws and spindles accommodate doors from 45-50mm thick, while extended screws and spindles can be supplied for other requirements. Finish options include a range of powder coat colours.
