Ashburton Council Seeks CCTV Provision, Installation And Maintenance.
Ashburton District Council in New Zealand is after CCTV support for its large solution.
There are currently 165 CCTV cameras at locations around the Ashburton area south of Christchurch. The CCTV system’s operational goal is to make Ashburton a safer place through prevention activities that target crime and public disorder, increase public safety and ensure efficient responses.
Access to the system is limited to a third-party contractor, authorised council staff and NZ Police, with monitoring and use of images carried out in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act and Ashburton District Council CCTV guidelines.
