ASSA Abloy ES8100 V-lock
ASSA Abloy ES8100 V-lock from CSM is a SCEC-endorsed high torque motorised bolt that moves from the vertical to the horizontal position when locked.
The ES8100 features a stainless-steel lock body and faceplate, a bolt with a diameter of 11mm and a projection of 20.5mm, offers a maximum resistance of 1000kg with supported strike plate and meets S3 (AS4145.2 1993) security levels and has been used successfully in PAS24 security door testing.
Other features of this lock include pre-load capability of up to 15kg of side pressure in 3-wire mode, power to lock (fail safe) power to open (fail secure) field configurable, SCEC-endorsed (intruder resistant bracket required) and 1 second unlatching speed.
Ideal for 180-degree glass door swing applications, there’s a surface mount accessory kit and the lock is fire tested to BS EN 16341 for 30 and 60 minute when installed on a timber door.
Current draw is a minimum of 1A, monitoring options include COM, NO, NC with voltage-free changeover contacts rated at 100mA, the lock has an MTBF of 300,000 operations and an operating temperature range of -20C to 60C.
Voltage options are 12 to 24V DC with a voltage tolerance at 12V of +15 per cent 0 per cent and at 24V +/ 15 per cent, delivers fail safe unlocking with a 3kg maximum load at the bolt, and can handle door misalignment of up to 3.5mm +/- without impacting on operation.
