ASSA ABLOY MP200 Security Mantrap is designed for controlled, monitored entry into secure areas, supporting integration with most access control solutions and authentication technologies.
The MP200 portal feeds event data to security management and building management systems and uses intelligent 3D sensors to monitor and regulate access in both directions.
The MP200 can be configured with fail-safe or fail-secure operation and includes LED traffic light indicators. Internal monitoring supports duress signals and time-based access schedules, including holiday settings, time delay, and wrong try penalties.
There are configurable operating modes. In single or double lock modes, access is granted following authentication, with automatic checks on the number of occupants entering.
Depending on configuration, the MP200 can detect and block both tailgating and piggybacking using 3D time-of-flight (TOF) sensors and contact mats. The system supports throughput of up to 5–7 persons per minute depending on settings.
In automatic mode, radar sensors activate the doors. The locked mode disables door operation completely, while the full-opening mode allows rapid exit in emergencies or group movement. The system can also operate as a transit route when in a permanently open state.
Designed to be accessible, the MP200 allows barrier-free passage for people using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. The system is available in multiple configurations with outside diameters from 1600mm to 2500mm, and passage widths from 1005mm to 1619mm. Passage height ranges from 2200mm to 2500mm, and canopy height ranges from 250mm to 1000mm.
Security features include burglary resistance to EN 1627 classes RC 2 and RC 3, achieved with burglar-proof glass (P4A or P5A), additional locking mechanisms, and reinforced construction. Construction options include stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium, or anodised aluminium.
