Australian Grand Prix Seeks CCTV Operations – Australian Grand Prix Corporation has floated a future tender seeking a comprehensive temporary video surveillance system, including CCTV cameras, analytics, a control room with monitors and operators for the event.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is intending to release an RFT in April 2025 seeking expressions of interest for the provision of CCTV Operations for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix events held over 4 days in March/April each year, to be held at Albert Park, Melbourne from 2026 onwards. This initial expression of interest request closes on February 21.
The CCTV operations services scope includes, but is not limited to, supply and installation of CCTV cameras throughout the site, supply and installation of track protection cameras, supply of CCTV operators in event control throughout event week, supply of video wall and recording equipment within event the control room.
Video analytics functions required by the system include crowd counting and vehicle counting, and other AI functions including facial recognition, crowd flow and crowd density tracking.
Construction of infrastructure to facilitate the event is carried out over a 12-week build period in accordance with a strict construction programme, with dismantle beginning immediately following the race and running 4 weeks of the event.
