DTI Group reports it has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Majees Technical Services LLC for the supply of 98 bus surveillance systems for buses being delivered to transport company, Mwasalat.

Mwasalat is a government-owned public bus company and is the leading public transport company in the Sultanate of Oman. The DTI surveillance systems are to be delivered over the next 12 months and installed on new buses being constructed in Poland, Turkey and The Netherlands.

The company says the award of this LOA is a strong endorsement of DTI’s products as well as its ability to deliver into global projects with multiple bus manufacturers in different countries. The Oman project is the second major bus project awarded to DTI in the Middle-East. Purchase orders for the various bus builds are expected to be received over the next 3 months.

With the award of a number of recent contracts, including the Oman and previously announced Gibella LOI, DTI’s contracted work on hand has increased to $31 million. This is a record high for contracted work and supports the investment made by DTI in developing leading technology in transit surveillance and communications systems.

Perth-based DTI provides advanced mobile surveillance systems, solutions and services to a global client list that includes transit agencies, transit operators, freight operators, law enforcement authorities and taxi organisations.♦
