AXIS Radar Data Visualizer – Axis Communications has announced a powerful analytic application that combines 180-degree radar detection and 180-degree panoramic multi-sensor AXIS P3827-PVE camera for improved situational awareness with minimum false alarms.
Radar Data Visualizer is designed for monitoring large open areas and can accurately detect people at ranges of up to 60 metres and vehicles at up to 85 metres. At these ranges the system is capable of visualizing 180-degree detection in all weather and lighting conditions.
The system collects and processes radar data and presents the data as visual overlays in the camera feed for viewing by an operator. This data can also be used to trigger events. For instance, it’s possible to activate strobe lights, trigger alarms, or start camera recordings whenever an object crosses a predefined virtual line in the camera view.
Radar technology offers cost-effective operations and accurate detection 24/7. And because it’s not impacted by things like moving shadows, beams of light, small animals, or insects, it keeps false alarms to a minimum.
With intelligent object detection, the system can detect and classify people and vehicles. And area and line-crossing detection lets you trigger an event whenever an object moves within a defined area or crosses predefined virtual line in a defined direction. Additionally, it’s possible to display the speed of passing vehicles in the overlay.
