Best Product Security and Integrate Announced.

Best Product Security and Integrate – Best product at Security & Integrate this year according to show judges was the Comvision Visiotech VS-X2 body worn camera, with runner’s up including PowerStack and Ultimate Security.

Visiotech says the standout feature of the VS-X2 BWC is its mobile duress capability. In critical situations, workers can press an SOS button, triggering a duress alert that is sent directly to a control centre. This alert includes a live video stream and the camera’s GPS location, providing immediate situational awareness and enabling rapid response. This single-button activation allows workers to focus on the unfolding situation.

Meanwhile, runner up Ultimate Security has developed a service which deploys wheeled robots to handle patrols and alarm response on large sites. SEN got a run-through of this robot at the show – it looks to us like a Team 1st Technologies’ Autonomous Security Robot manufactured in the U.S.

Team 1st’s Autonomous Security Robots are fitted with cameras and sensors and use computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence algorithms to detect potential threats. Ultimate Security has purchased a fleet of these robots and is supplying them to big clients.

What’s neat about the Ultimate Security service is that it’s opex not capex, so users are getting the very latest in AI-powered robotics without having to stump fairly significant up-front purchase costs. Something else that’s neat is while the robot can replace humans on patrol, it also supplements and enhances security operations, giving greater situational awareness to a local control room.

Runner up Powerstack is a manufacturer and solar-powered utility poles with solar cells integrated into poles rather than mounted outboard. Given the size of the array and the fact it’s located on all facets of PowerStack poles there’s plenty of juice to support CCTV cameras, lights, sensors, comms, chargers, network portals, radios, radio repeaters, controllers, charge backup batteries and way more.

One of PowerStack’s biggest successes in SEN’s opinion is in successfully building relationships with other manufacturers to expand the capabilities of its core technology.

SEN had its own thoughts about the best new products at the show – there were plenty of developments and pre-releases to be seen but we think the winner in terms of being brand new and more or less fully formed was the Bosch Solution 4000 alarm and access control panel with CCTV integration to come.

Other products we liked the look of included the new Tecom Discovery, Genetec Security Center SaaS, Inner Range’s IR Video, Gallagher’s Enhanced and High Sec C7000 variations, the Ultimate Security Robot mentioned earlier, and some of the AI-powered cameras from Hanwha and Hikvision.
