Bosch DS720i Long Range Tritech Arrives At SEN For Testing.

Bosch DS720i Long Range Tritech Arrives – Bosch’s BOS-DS720i Long Range Tritech detector has arrived at SEN for testing.

This Bosch Tritech has monster detection zone options, including a 27m x 21 metre rectangle or a 91 x 4.6 metre corridor. Designed for rugged applications, the DS720i combines quad PIR with field changeable mirror optics, a microwave movement detector and a maximum mounting height of 3 metres.

We’ve met the DS72Oi sensor in applications many times but never had a chance to walk test the sensor in the wild. This sensor has a substantial bracket footprint and as well as getting mounting right to enhance detection, we’re going to need to provide an adequate custom cover or install the sensor under a convenient roofline.

When it comes to other features, there’s anti-masking with spray detect, alarm memory, motion monitor, microwave pattern recognition circuitry, PIR motion analyser signal processing and supervision of microwave and PIR detection systems. The anti-masking with spray detect is selectable to provide a microwave supervision trouble signal if microwave reflective material (metal, wood, plastics) is placed within 30.5 cm (1 ft) of the detector.

Meanwhile IR anti-masking feature detects objects placed to cover the detector or sprayed on the lens area. Anti-mask sensitivity is selectable, and anti-mask activation can be delayed toreduce false alarms.

Switch-selectable 4 or 30-day Motion Monitor supervision timers provide the detector with the ability to verify that there is a clear view of the target area – ideal for environments subject to change over time. Operating temperature is -29 to 49C – we’ll be pushing towards the limits of that range over the time of our test.
