Bosch DS9370 Ceiling Mount 360 Sensor – Bosch DS9370 ceiling-mount motion detector is designed for large indoor areas requiring 360-degree coverage and has a detection diameter of 21.3 metres in all directions, depending on mounting height.
The DS9370 It combines passive infrared and microwave Doppler radar technologies, which must be triggered simultaneously to produce an alarm. Its 3 independent PIR sensors are fully adjustable, allowing tailored coverage across varying installation heights up to 6.1 metres.
The unit uses Bosch First Step Processing to identify human movement without requiring sensitivity adjustments. This processing evaluates signal amplitude, slope, polarity and timing. Microwave noise-adaptive processing helps manage background disturbances, and microwave supervision ensures continued functionality by reverting to PIR-only detection if the radar subsystem fails.
The detector is designed for ceiling mounting either directly or via a standard 10.2cm octagonal electrical box. It features a hinged chassis and baseplate to simplify installation and service.
Walk testing is supported by a high-efficiency LED and light pipe system, which is visible from any angle or height. An alarm memory function latches the LED after an event to assist with response, and remote control of walk testing is possible using a switched input.
The unit’s alarm output is a solid-state Form C relay rated at 2.8W, 100 mA at 28V DC for DC-resistive loads. It also includes normally closed tamper switches on both the cover and the mounting surface, rated at 28V DC, 100mA, 3W max.
Power requirements are 9 to 15V DC, with a current draw of 12 mA in standby and up to 24 mA in alarm. The detector is certified for use in Australia and carries C-tick approval.
