Bosch has released the BAT622 6Ah replacement lithium battery for all its 18V power tools that delivers a near 50 per cent increase in run time.
The battery is compact at with 10.16cm x 6.99cm x 5.72cm dimension, weighs 567g and comes with a 12-month warranty. The unit has the same 10 cell as the 4A battery, but cell substrate is denser.
The BAT622’s has low-resistance cells and features Bosch CoolPack technology designed to lower internal cell temperatures –there’s also single-cell monitoring to maximize performance of each individual cell.
Bosch BAT622 EM battery technology works with a tool’s internal electronics to regulate voltage draw when torque goes up and the speed goes down. The EM system monitors heating of both tool and battery, shutting down either when temperature gets too high, protecting against premature failure.
