Broken Hill Seeks Mobile CCTV Trailer Quotation.
Broken Hill Seeks Mobile CCTV Trailer – Broken Hill City Council has released a request for quotation for the supply of a portable CCTV camera trailer.
The equipment will support council’s ongoing investment in public safety and smart infrastructure across the Far West region of New South Wales and will likely integrate into council’s existing CCTV solution.
The new CCTV trailer is part of a broader strategy to implement smart city technologies. A few years back council awarded a contract valued at over $A500,000 to OneWiFi & Infrastructure for an integrated smart lighting, CCTV and IoT solution.

That rollout included a range of initiatives already in motion or in planning stages, including public Wi-Fi, CCTV, smart parking, smart bins, civic centre AV upgrades, wayfinding systems, and projects under the Living Museum and Perfect Light programs.
CCTV cameras are installed as part of Broken Hill City Council assets, including council facilities. Cameras are installed in public spaces including Sturt Park, Patton Park, outside the Broken Hill Civic Centre, outside the council administrative centre, and the cemetery, as well as mobile cameras at the Broken Hill Waste Facility. Additional locations include Queen Elizabeth Park, E.P. Norm Fox Oval, and O’Neill Park.

There are also CCTV systems installed in council facilities including the Charles Rasp Memorial Library, Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery, Broken Hill Regional Airport, Albert Kersten Mining and Mineral Museum, the weighbridge at the Broken Hill Waste Facility, Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre, HACC, and the Broken Hill City Council Companion Animal Shelter.
Broken Hill, with a population of around 17,500, is an isolated city in the New South Wales’ outback and the centre of the local government area. It’s CCTV solutions form part of a wider smart community roadmap improve service delivery, public amenity, and safety across the city.
This Broken Hill Seeks Mobile CCTV Trailer tender closes on April 28. You can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
