Central Highlands Regional Council Requires CCTV, Gates

Central Highlands Regional Council Requires a video surveillance solution, as well as the installation of automatic security gates, at multiple facilities across the council area.

CHRC requires CCTV surveillance systems to be designed and installed at the Duaringa Depot, Duaringa Top Yards and Blackwater Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to improve security. The new video surveillance system must deter illegal activities (e.g. theft, vandalism, etc), as well as to provide vehicle registration recognition for pursuing prosecution of offenders.

Meanwhile, the automatic security gates operated by security tags also need to be installed at the Duaringa Depot and Blackwater Water Treatment Plant (WTP). These works will include the removal of existing gates/fencing and the design, supply and installation of new automatic security gates and all associated operating systems, including but not limited to access tag readers, motion sensors, control systems and electrical systems.

The Central Highlands region encompasses an area of around 60 000 square kilometres, making it just short of the size of Tasmania. It is home to around 30,000 people who live in the 13 communities, including Arcadia Valley, Bauhinia, Blackwater, Bluff, Capella, Comet, Dingo, Duaringa, Emerald, Rolleston, Sapphire Gemfields, Springsure and Tieri.

Both these tenders close on October 11 – you can find out more here, for the automated security gate tender, click here.
