Chris Dellenty Retires From Bosch Security Systems.

Chris Dellenty Retires From Bosch – Chris Dellenty, managing director Oceania, Bosch Security Systems, will retire at the end of March after 15 years as MD and 21 years at the company.

Dellenty has been a stalwart of the Australian security industry for over 37 years and staff, colleagues, and customers alike, will attest to his quiet determination and steadfast direction as a key pillar for the success of the Bosch Security Systems business.

Dellenty joined Bosch Security Systems in 2003, after holding several positions with Honeywell and ADT Security, to oversee the Public Address and Conference business that Bosch had acquired from Phillips.

During his tenure, this business unit expanded to include the Professional Audio brands Electro-Voice and Dynacord, creating a new and exciting growth path. His success in this space was a great springboard for his next challenge.

In 2009, Chris was appointed managing director – Oceania, responsible for the collective Security and Safety Systems portfolio in the region. Bosch Security then achieved its biggest transformation yet – changing its channel to market entirely. The consolidation resulted in significant sales growth, with business profitability, and partner engagement at its highest levels ever.

The realignment of our go-to-market strategy and the development of strategic partnerships with our distribution partners has seen very positive results,” Dellenty said.

I greatly value the relationships of trust that have grown with these partners over the time – I will very much miss working with them“.

I am also extremely proud of the culture we have created within our business over the years.  I really believe our culture would be the envy of any business in the world, and I’m proud that I have been able to surround myself with good people who have strong values, and a very strong work ethic“.

We have always focussed on developing people, supporting them in hard times and making each other better than we could possibly be by ourselves. This kind of culture is rare, and I am confident it will continue well past my departure.”

Wilfred Steeman, vice president, intrusion – EMEA & AP said that in the 13 years he had been working with Dellenty the Bosch Security Systems business had gone through significant changes.

What stood out for me about Chris was his customer centricity, thorough product knowledge and the team he managed to pull together,” Steeman said.

We will continue to build on this legacy. I greatly appreciate and thank Chris for his service and wish him well in his retirement.
