City Of Canning Seeks CCTV Upgrade – City of Canning is seeking a qualified contractor or contractors to undertake installation, upgrades, and maintenance of its CCTV systems under a 2-year contract with an optional 1-year extension.
City of Canning is a local government area in the southeastern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, about 10 kilometres southeast of Perth’s central business district. City of Canning covers an area of 64.8 square kilometres and has a population of around 105,000.
The scope of the works includes full servicing of existing and future CCTV hardware and supporting infrastructure, along with health checks, cleaning, firmware updates, and design and proposal services for new installations.
The current system includes 412 fixed cameras mounted internally and externally on buildings, poles and other assets, 2 CCTV trailers fitted with 6 Hikvision cameras and an NVR each, 1 VMS trailer with 4 Hanwha Wisenet cameras, and 10 vehicle-mounted systems in community safety fleet vehicles.
Video management is handled by a hybrid platform comprising Genetec Security Center SaaS, Wisenet Wave and Hikvision NVRs. City of Canning intends to migrate all assets progressively to the Genetec and Wisenet platforms.

The contractor will also be responsible for testing local and remote connections, assessing the condition of mounting structures, supporting software integration, and providing asset reporting. Mounting poles, power supplies, backup systems, wireless transmission hardware and cabling all fall within the maintenance scope. Projects exceeding $99,000 in value may be excluded from the contract.
City of Canning will retain full administrative control over all systems. Submissions will only be accepted via the City’s eProcurement platform and must be lodged by 18 June 2025. More details about this tender here and more SEN news here.
