City of Greater Bendigo Seeks Cloud CCTV Upgrade – City of Greater Bendigo has released a tender seeking a cloud-based CCTV solution to upgrade its public surveillance infrastructure in line with its current IT strategy.

The proposed system is intended to enhance public safety through scalable and secure cloud video surveillance. The city is seeking a platform supported by an Australian-based cloud backend with high availability, disaster recovery capability, and secure remote management. The infrastructure must support redundancy and recovery post-event.
The new system will replace or expand the city’s existing CCTV network, which includes more than 145 cameras located across public spaces. This network is managed in cooperation with Victoria Police and is used to discourage and detect criminal activity.
City of Greater Bendigo is a local government area covering 3000 square kilometres in central Victoria with a population of around 125,000. The city also maintains a Community Local Law focused on regulating public activities to support safety and public order.
