Connect Showing Bosch Solution 4000 With Access Control and Enhanced Integration At SecTech NZ.
Connect Showing Bosch Solution 4000 – Connect Surveillance And Security will be showing the Bosch Solution 4000 alarm and access control panel with automation and surveillance integration at SecTech NZ, which opens at Ellerslie Event Centre in Auckland next Tuesday, June 10 (pre-register here)!
Bosch Solution 4000 builds on the foundation of the respected Solution 2000 and 3000 platforms, adding support for 4 doors of access control, touchscreen interface, enhanced diagnostics and new integration options across alarms, automation and surveillance.
Solution 4000 supports 32 zones, wired or wireless, with 32 outputs and 4 doors managed via a Wiegand door module. The system allows connection of up to 4 keypads, 3 partitions or areas, and includes 3 input and 3 output modules. Up to 64 users are supported, and the system includes a 512-event log.
The platform is compatible with Bosch’s Radion wireless, which supports up to 32 devices, including motion sensors, reed switches, smoke detectors, panic buttons and keyfobs. Wireless extenders provide local power with 12 hours of backup.
Meanwhile, enhanced diagnostics allow installers to remotely view zone status, circuit states, system version, battery condition and power status. Remote access includes control over outputs and the ability to cycle door relays.
A new Android-based touchscreen keypad features mapping and visual zone and door state display. The system’s Weigand door module includes a built-in relay and monitoring input, allowing compatibility with most reader types, including Bosch and HID. It supports 26-bit and 37-bit credentials, with the ability to add any site code or card data.
Camera integration has been expanded to include Bosch and third-party IP cameras, with configuration available via an integrated keypad running on Wi-Fi or PoE. The local network can be scanned for cameras once connected. Support for Control4 and Home Assistant provides automation flexibility, and remote control is available via the RISC+ app.

The hardware design features new surface-mount components, double the RAM and storage of previous models, and a 50 per cent increase in CPU capacity. The system uses the supervised B520 power supply, delivering 12V DC 2A from an 18-24V AC input. For larger sites, backup power is supported via 2 18Ah batteries, offering 80 hours standby time for the complete system, including control panel, communicators, keypads and expanders.
