Dash Wins Ballina CCTV Contract – Ballina Shire Council has awarded a $493,946 contract to Dash Security Group for the supply and installation of CCTV infrastructure across the Ballina and Lennox Head townships.
The project covers deployment of fixed and PTZ cameras, along with automatic number plate recognition at key gateway locations and will deliver a network designed for both general surveillance and vehicle monitoring.
From an operational perspective, the inclusion of ANPR at entry points will deliver monitoring of traffic movement supporting incident investigation and broader situational awareness across the local government area. PTZ cameras will support active monitoring and incident response, while fixed cameras will provide continuous coverage across public spaces.
Ballina Shire Council services the Far North Coast of New South Wales, managing a mix of tourist-dependent coastal townships, transport corridors, community facilities and public infrastructure. The CCTV deployment will support community safety, as well as asset protection and coordination with law enforcement.
Dash delivers electronic security and infrastructure solutions across government and commercial sectors. The company’s work typically includes CCTV, access control and integrated system deployments, with a focus on end-to-end delivery from design through to installation and commissioning.
The Ballina project reflects continued investment by regional councils in camera networks that combine fixed coverage, active monitoring and vehicle identification, supporting both operational requirements and long-term community safety outcomes.
