Dicker Data DAS First Year Report Highlights Investment, Potential.
Dicker Data DAS First Year Report – Dicker Data has made significant investments in the Dicker Access and Surveillance (DAS) division in the last year, capping off a strong first year with an Axis Distributor of the Year Award.

A substantial investment was made with the introduction of internal sales representatives and a dedicated pre and post-sales engineering team alongside its trade counter staff, product, technical and business development managers, and national tech support and training teams.
“We do not bring on a vendor unless we have the supporting resources in place,” said Chris Price, DAS general manager. “This starts with a dedicated product manager to that vendor and their products.”
Examples of this over the period include the addition of RISCO’s intrusion alarms and Eaton’s UPS range, each with its own product management teams, who joined DAS at this year’s SecTech Roadshow.

DAS also invested in its branch network around the country, as well as in stock holding. Product inventory has reportedly grown significantly with prospects of a warehouse expansion at Dicker Data’s growing Kurnell facility.
“Our product inventory has more than doubled and is replenished in our branches more often than ever,” said James Layton, head of product at DAS. “The power of Dicker Data logistics and management’s willingness to hold stock, has been a big positive across our national operations, and of course, our customers.”
New and improved branches were prioritised in the last year too. New branches opened in Seven Hills, Waterloo, Tullamarine, and Nerang and all branches are now refurbished with vibrant product displays for key vendors.
Reflecting the value of its investment in facilities, stock and people, DAS recently won Distributor of the Year and E2E Product Distributor of the Year at the Axis Partner Event in Alice Springs.
“We are delighted with the 2 Axis awards this year, and we look forward to keep growing this segment with Axis and our customers in the years to come”, said Paul Gregory, Axis group sales manager from DAS.
And according to Samantha Muscat, product manager from DAS, “The hard work of our key surveillance customers and our proactive sales and marketing strategies – like our latest trade-in promotion – have paid off again.”
Price said the DAS team was looking forward to the rest of 2023 and he said there would be key updates and news to share in the near future.
