Doogood DooMAX VRF Crash-Rated Palisade Fencing System

Doogood DooMAX VRF Crash-Rated Palisade Fencing System Developed in Collaboration With Deakin University.

Doogood DooMAX VRF Crash-Rated Palisade Fencing System – Doogood Australia’s DooMAX VRF is an Australian-designed and manufactured crash-rated palisade fencing system developed for hostile vehicle mitigation applications around critical infrastructure and high-security sites.

DooMAX VRF has been developed in collaboration with Deakin University and validated through advanced simulation and full-scale crash testing undertaken in Germany in July 2025. The system is certified to ISO 22343-1:2023 and ASTM F2656/F2656M standards.

Crash testing used a 7200kg vehicle impacting the fence at 48km/h and 90 degrees. Doogood specifies the resulting ISO classification as ISO22343-1:Fence V/7200[NC3]/48/90:6.2/0.0, with an ASTM F2656/F2656M P2 rating and C730/N3C classification.

The system is designed to provide a continuous crash-resistant perimeter rather than relying solely on protection of individual vehicle access points. Applications include data centres, correctional facilities, transport infrastructure, government facilities and other critical infrastructure requiring protection against vehicle impact.

DooMAX incorporates concealed fixings for resistance to tampering and uses Australian-made steel in a patent-pending design. An engineered inground mounting system is intended to simplify installation, while the fence can be raked to accommodate changing ground levels and adapted for corners.

The system can also be integrated with gates and bollards, allowing crash-rated fencing to form part of a broader HVM perimeter design.

Corrosion protection options include Doogood’s powder-coated 15-year warranty system using E-Coat/Metaplex treatment.

Doogood developed DooMAX in response to Australia’s increasing requirement for locally available HVM systems and the industry’s historical reliance on imported crash-tested fencing. Local manufacture is intended to reduce lead times and provide greater adaptability to Australian project requirements.

DooMAX VRF is available now in Australia and is also offered for international export.
