Elecdata Wins Campbelltown City Council Security Contract Valued At $550,000.
Elecdata Wins Campbelltown City Council Security Contract – Elecdata Australia has been awarded a $550,000 contract by Campbelltown City Council for ongoing maintenance, upgrade and expansion of the council’s electronic security systems.
The contract covers a large and distributed security solution, with council operating one of the most extensive access control and security networks in South-West Sydney. As of April 2025, the network spans 105 sites, including administration buildings, depots, sporting facilities, leisure centres, heritage buildings, community halls, libraries, tenanted properties, RFS stations, a regional headquarters, stadium, arts centre and a radio tower.
From a CCTV perspective, council maintains a network of 32 interconnected servers supporting more than 610 cameras across the region. The system includes a mix of public safety cameras, licence plate recognition, asset protection and mobile surveillance units used for traffic and anti-social behaviour monitoring.
From an operational standpoint, the contract is centred on lifecycle management rather than standalone works. This includes maintaining system performance across a diverse asset base, supporting upgrades and expansion, and ensuring integration across access control, CCTV and associated infrastructure.
The scale and diversity of the security network demands consistent performance across multiple site types and operating conditions, with systems supporting both internal council operations and broader community safety functions.
Campbelltown City Council services a large and growing region in South-West Sydney, with a mix of urban development, public infrastructure and community facilities. The size of the council’s security footprint reflects both population growth and the need to manage assets across a wide geographic area.
Meanwhile, Elecdata Australia delivers electronic security solutions including CCTV, access control and integrated systems, with the award reflecting capability in maintaining and evolving large, multi-site security environments over time.
