Entag Wins Paroo Shire Council CCTV Contract With Verkada Cloud-Based Video Surveillance Solution.
Entag Wins Paroo Shire Council CCTV Contract – Entag has won major public safety CCTV contract with Paroo Shire Council, delivering a $A700,000 Verkada cloud-based video surveillance system across the streets of Cunnamulla that will be co-managed by Paroo Shire Council and Queensland Police Service.
The contract follows Entag’s recent acquisition of Proactive Technology Solutions and marks one of the first major electronic security wins under the expanded business. The scope includes the installation of 104 Verkada bullet cameras and 24 Verkada PTZ cameras, forming a large-scale, cloud-managed public safety network.

According to Aaron Morris, electronic security team leader at Entag, the project reflects the capability and direction of the expanded Entag business.
“We were awarded this tender based on our submission with Verkada,” Morris said. “With its advanced analytics capabilities, Verkada was a clear choice for Paroo Shire Council, who will co-manage the system with QPS.”
Paroo Shire Council had previously resolved to pursue staged upgrade, replacement and expansion programs for CCTV infrastructure, aligning these projects with external funding opportunities. The new Verkada system represents a significant scale-up in coverage and capability, supporting public safety and situational awareness across the Cunnamulla township.
Cloud-based management and analytics were central to the selection, enabling shared oversight between council and police while reducing on-site infrastructure requirements.
