Fremantle Ports Security Upgrade

♦ Fremantle Ports security upgrade – Fremantle Ports needs a security upgrade of its truck marshalling area.

The upgrade is comprehensive, and the scope of works for the security and safety component includes:

* Security, access control, CCTV, intercom and electrical works
* Perimeter fencing
* Manual and automatic security access gates
* Safety bollards.

Fremantle Harbour is Western Australia’s largest and busiest general cargo port. Fremantle Harbour consists of the Inner Harbour, which is situated on the mouth of the Swan River. The inner harbour handles a large volume of sea containers, vehicle imports and livestock exports, cruise shipping and naval visits, and operates 24 hours a day.

Located adjacent to the city of Fremantle, in the Perth metropolitan region, the Inner Harbour includes northern and southern wharves named North Quay and Victoria Quay respectively, with the area managed by the Fremantle Port Authority.

There are 4 cargo handling berths at the Inner Harbour and during unloading there may be hundreds of truck movements each day – the road/rail split for containers is 80 per cent road and 20 per cent rail.

This tender closes August 30 – you can find out more here.
