FSH FEL990 Electric Mortise Lock Upgraded – FSH’s FEL990 Series electric mortice lock has been updated with the inclusion of an optional fire-rated power transfer device for cleaner installation and greater deployment flexibility.
The revised FEL990MPTD kit includes a 300mm lead cover, simplifying door-to-frame cabling and supporting doors opening between 90 and 120 degrees. The power transfer device is completely concealed when the door is closed.
The FEL990 Series supports both single- and double-sided locking, with field-selectable configuration between fail safe and fail secure modes. The lock suits left- or right-handed doors, offers multi-voltage operation from 12–30VDC, and features reverse polarity protection. It can be triggered via push buttons, intercoms, key switches, or electronic access control systems, including those integrated with card readers or keypads. The device conforms to AS4145.2:1993, achieving S3 (security) and D3 (durability) ratings, and to S4 (security) in its monitored variant. Fire ratings of up to 4 hours apply when used on compliant doors tested to AS1905.1:2015.
Monitoring on the FEL990M version includes reed switch-based door position status and lock status derived from bolt and latch positions. Additional monitored parameters include key override activity and request-to-exit via hub or handle. LED status indication is also included.
The lock offers door handing selectability and ships with a 60mm backset. Alternative backset sizes of 70mm, 89mm, and 127mm are available. Operating temperature range spans -20 to 60C, and door thickness support extends from 32–50mm, with extended spindles available up to 65mm. Typical current draw is 350mA during actuation, with an operational load of 100mA when LED furniture is fitted. A mechanical warranty of 10 years and an electronic warranty of 1 year applies.
The monitored version is supplied with the power transfer kit when ordered as FEL990MPTD. Both versions are compatible with a wide range of door frame profiles and are suitable for applications requiring enhanced security and clean integration.
