Gallagher Adds Lift Control To SMB – Gallagher Security has added lift access control to its cloud-based SMB solution, allowing businesses to manage floor-level access permissions through the same app used for doors and alarms.
The new feature enables building managers to assign specific floor access to users, block unauthorised lift button use, and monitor elevator access activity without requiring separate hardware or software. Elevator control is included in the standard SMB offering with no additional cloud fees.
Gallagher says the new capability suits commercial offices, retail premises, apartment complexes, and mixed-use sites. It integrates with Gallagher’s existing SMB hardware and software platform, which provides intrusion detection, access control, user management and monitoring through a smartphone app.
The Gallagher SMB Base Kit includes a controller, input and output boards, power supply, fire relay and reader options in black or white. The hardware is preassembled and includes cabling, resistors, tamper protection and keys. Meanwhile, the SMB app allows users to control access, manage alarms and monitor multiple sites from a mobile device using Bluetooth and cloud connectivity.
