Gallagher Security And ADT Celebrate 25-Year Partnership.
Gallagher Security And ADT Celebrate – First partnering with Cardax, which was acquired by Gallagher in 1999, ADT has been a trusted leader in the Australian market for more than 27 years.
When the companies joined forces for the first time on a large mining project in Queensland it signalled the start of what has become one of Gallagher Australia’s strongest partnerships.
“Gallagher and ADT have held a united front to market for many years,” said Gallagher Security’s national sales manager – Australia, Scott Johnstone.
“Trust, competency, and communication have been a yardstick for what can be achieved when 2 partners are all in, and that is an incredible edge in a competitive landscape.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by ADT.
“One of the most unique aspects of our partnership is the genuine, longstanding relationship we’ve built over the years,” said Geoff Campbell-Brown, general manager, ADT Security Australia.
“Trust and honesty have been the foundation of our collaboration, allowing us to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results together.
Today, ADT supports over 140 joint customers across Australia, and in 2023 they acknowledged a major milestone, becoming the first Premium Partner for Gallagher’s SMB (Security Made Better) cloud-based access control solution.
Over the course of the partnership there have been many project highlights, however 2 have stood as true success stories. For Johnstone it was working together on the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) project in Canberra, which he hails as a hallmark of the early days of the partnership. The system is still installed today at ADFA and is currently undergoing an upgrade.
For Campbell-Brown, the implementation of the Training and Access Management System (TAMS) into a mining operation in the Bowen Basin remains a standout.
“This project significantly improved site safety and compliance,” said Campbell-Brown. “Despite the complexity of the project, the strength of our partnership allowed us to successfully navigate challenges, ensuring a seamless outcome that exceeded customer expectations.”
However, it’s during some of the more challenging moments that the strength of Gallagher and ADT’s partnership has really shone. Johnstone credits the high-trust and confidence that both parties have in one another as key to navigating difficult circumstances, and says they are stronger for it.
Both believe that central to the success of the partnership is their commitment to people.
“What we value most is the like-mindedness between our teams,” says Campbell-Brown. “Both companies share a customer-centric approach, always prioritising the needs and satisfaction of our clients. This mutual commitment to delivering the best customer experience makes working together seamless and highly effective.”
Johnstone agrees.
“Gallagher and ADT proved that through the trials, tribulations and acquisitions that come with time, its people that make a partnership work, and ADT people have been amazing,” he said.
Throughout their partnership, Gallagher and ADT have successfully developed and implemented several customisations to address customer-specific challenges. These solutions have not only resolved complex problems but have also evolved into licensable features that add significant value to their offerings. This collaborative spirit of innovation has been a driving force behind their sustained market leadership.
While both companies reflect fondly on their shared success over the years, it’s the future that generates the most excitement.
“The ADT of today is hungrier and more agile than ever before,” Johnstone said. “The lofty goals ADT has set align perfectly with Gallagher’s own, and we have linked arms again to get after them together.”
Dennison Hambling, managing director of ADT’s parent company, Intelligent Monitoring Group, elaborates.
“As ADT continues its progress back to the forefront of the commercial market, we see immense opportunity for growth,” Hambling said. “We’re excited about innovating our approach and expanding the scope of our collaboration, bringing even more innovative solutions to the market in the future.”
