HID Aero X1100 Controller Supports 2 Doors Locally, Expands To 64.

HID Aero X1100 Controller – HID’s Aero X1100 controller replaces the VertX and EDGE controllers, supporting 2 doors locally and expanding to 64 using Aero input/output modules.

The Mercury-based HID Aero X1100 provides onboard IO support for up to 2 access points and 2 (Wiegand) or 4 (OSDP) readers. There are 4 relays to provide door lock and auxiliary output control while 7 supervised inputs are used to monitor door status, REX, power supply, battery, tamper and general-purpose inputs status. All support analogue-to-digital conversion.

To expand the number of access points being controlled installers attach Aero expansion I/O modules (X100, X200 and X300), At maximum capacity, the X1100 can control up to 64 readers, 64 access points, 615 inputs or 388 outputs. Aero end-to-end security includes TLS 1.2, AES-256, OSDP secure channel and 4-state supervised inputs.

The X1100 serves as a form and fit replacement for both the VertX EVO V1000 and V2000, providing both on-board 2-door support and downstream I/O module communication in a single SKU.

OSDP reader support increases security and functionality with secure channel and bi-directional communications, while robust network security supports mutual authentication using TLS 1.2 while running in a FIPS 140-2 environment. I/O module encryption enhances security between intelligent controller and IO modules with AES encryption and crypto chips protect against malicious attacks to keep keys and passwords safe.

There are 7 different threat levels that can be selected to adjust user access during lockdowns and lockouts, while high amp relays ensure controller protection from power hungry locks and enables wider choice of egress hardware, and the controller can be mounted to DIN rails.
