HID Global, the premier manufacturer of contactless access control cards and readers for the security industry, today announced expansion of their Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) team to support the surging demand in the ANZ market.
Tom Rozsa has been appointed as Regional Sales Manager for ANZ, reporting to Frankie Man, Sales Director, Asia Pacific Region, HID Global. Richard Fraser has been appointed as New Zealand Representative, while Eric Chiu is repositioned as Technical Support for ANZ ***** Business Development for ASEAN and ANZ.
Rozsa, the new Regional Sales Manager for ANZ, has wide experience in high security mechanical and electromechanical locking systems industry. Prior to joining HID in February 2006, Mr. Rozsa worked with Abloy Security for consecutive years and was responsible for implementation and management of high security locking systems for local and state government bodies, utilities, hospital networks and other major institutions.
“Although RFID technology is different from electro-mechanical technology, the principal requirements of the two technologies share much similarities. Tom has extensive experience in supporting channel customers, government and commercial users in the ANZ region. We are confident that Tom shall bring valuable contribution and support to our customers in the ANZ region,” said Frankie Man.
Fraser, the new New Zealand Representative, has been in the Industrial RFID/Access Control business since 1983 and worked in conjunction with Indala since 1984. In 1993, Fraser became representative of Indala in access control and industrial RFID market in New Zealand, focusing on the high security end of the market.
Fraser has tremendous experience in supporting leading organizations in New Zealand such as Auckland International Airport, Auckland and Massey Universities, Auckland District Health Board and SkyCity casinos in Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown, to name but a few.
Mr. Chiu who joined HID since 2001 as Technical Manager, Asia Pacific and was promoted to Business Development Manager, Asia Pacific in 2004. Mr. Chiu was relocated to HID Australia office in late 2005 and has been repositioned as Technical Support for ANZ ***** Business Development for ASEAN and ANZ.
Prior to working for HID, Mr. Chiu worked for Schlumberger Hong Kong, where he was product engineer in the cards department. He also served as application developer and systems support engineer for ERG Transit System (ERG Group), working on the Smart Card Project in Hong Kong.
