Hikvision Prime Pass Series Speed Gates Simplify Installation, Operation And Maintenance.
Hikvision Prime Pass Series Speed Gates – Hikvision’s Prime Pass Series speed gates are a unified access control platform designed to simplify installation, operation and maintenance while supporting multiple credential types in a single device.
Simplification of maintenance is a major bugbear for many installers, so Hikvision’s Prime Pass is certain to get some close attention from many installers – this is includes web-based and NFC configuration and (gasp) self-diagnostics.

The Prime Pass Series combines record acquisition, verification and control within one integrated system and the range reduces the complexity traditionally associated with speed gate deployments, including fragmented hardware, high commissioning effort and ongoing maintenance overheads that can be onerous for small installation businesses.
At the core of the Prime Pass design is the use of direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) sensing and integrated biometric recognition. Single-sided dToF sensors handle presence detection, anti-tailgating and anti-pinch functions, while embedded access control and identity verification remove the need for external controllers or third-party reader assemblies.
The cabinets adopt a compact, integrated form factor suited to contemporary building entrances. The platform supports Hikvision MinMoe facial recognition modules alongside other credential types, including card and fingerprint. Built-in deep-learning biometric options extend this to face, palm and vein recognition, while mobile credentials such as Bluetooth, QR code and NFC are also supported. The emphasis is on touchless throughput and reduced friction at peak entry times.

Mechanically, the Prime Pass Series uses servo motor technology across the range, with direct-drive servo motors in higher-end models. The design focus is on durability and predictable movement control, contributing to longer service life and stable operation in high-traffic environments.
From an installer and operator perspective, the system is designed to be straightforward to deploy and manage. Each lane requires a single network connection and a single power feed. Configuration can be performed via a PC-based web interface or using NFC tags on Android devices for service access. Built-in self-diagnostics provide real-time device status and fault reporting to support faster maintenance and reduced downtime.
The Prime Pass Series is offered in 3 variants to suit different budgets and applications. The Simple Edition targets cost-sensitive indoor and outdoor sites such as schools and mid-tier facilities. The Pro Series is positioned for mid-to-high-end commercial offices, supporting both indoor and outdoor use. The Ultra Series is designed for premium indoor environments, adding colour lighting strips and direct-drive servo motors.
